Reserve Ranger

Did another weeked running the camps. With one camp having over 900 girls plus staff, we needlessly said; had plumming problems. But it had to happen in the worst possible location, the kitchen!! There is something about walking hungrily into a kitchen only to find it three inches deep in...yuck. The the sewer overflowed coming up through toilets, drains pipes...ewww! I turned right around and radioed the ranger on call. I am a vollunteer and the ranger get's paid. Need I say more? Anyway in the end from what little we got out of the plumming we have evidence to beleive that someone somehow flushed a sleeping bag!
My friend Ducky was there lifeguarding, haven't seen her in a year and she is suddenly SKINNY!!! She was bigger then me last I saw her, now she is a tiny little thing! I did not even requinize her! Now I know it it possible.
Pi and I seemed to grate against each other all weekend. She seemed really tired and all she wanted to do was go off with her buddies instead of doing what we came to do. I really enjoy riding the Mule through the trails day and night going from camp to camp migling, picking up a smore here and there. I had to fight here to do it and then we only went to one or two. Let's just say that there are at least 12 units, each with two groups in them. I got 0 smores and the places we did not get to gave us a lower rating.
I look forward to RRing these days the only thing I think Pi looks forward to is going home. I will still look forward to it though. If we keep with the way we have been doing it for a long time my next RR with her will be in December. I have a few friends however I might take to the next big RR meeting to get signed up then I can go more often and with other people.
